Job summary

General Electric Credit Union in Cincinnati is seeking a Commercial Credit Specialist to support end-to-end commercial credit processes, from initial deal coordination to documentation and closing.

You will work with loan processing teams, reviewers, and borrowers to gather required financials, manage due diligence, and ensure compliance and timely reporting.

This role requires strong attention to detail, experience in commercial lending, and proficiency with Meridian Link and other tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Four years working in commercial loan processing or similar lending role.
• Proficient experience in underwriting and loan review processes.

Responsibilities

• Review loan application documents for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with applicants to obtain necessary information and documentation.
• Ensure timely execution of commercial credit processes.
• Order and review pre-close due diligence.
• Coordinate pre-closing activities and documents per regulatory requirements.
• Assemble and review final loan package and schedule closings.
• Onboard and fund business loans upon closing.
• Assist with post-closing documentation and loan exceptions.
• Monitor and report on borrowing base, limits, and loan pipeline.
• Liaise with 3rd party vendors to obtain due diligence in a timely manner.
