Job summary

Oriental Bank is seeking an Advisor, Commercial Credit to join our Credit Risk team and play a key role in evaluating, monitoring, and managing our commercial loan portfolio. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum of three years of experience in commercial credit or related banking function.
Experience supporting commercial banking relationships preferred.
Strong understanding of financial statement analysis and credit risk.

Responsibilities

Evaluate and underwrite commercial credit requests for new and existing clients.
Prepare credit memorandums and recommendations supported by sound financial analysis.
Conduct annual credit reviews and ongoing assessments of borrower performance and risk ratings.
Review financial statements, spread financial information, and assess repayment capacity.
Monitor loan covenant compliance and identify emerging credit risks.
Participate in Credit Committee meetings and present recommendations on credit facilities.
Partner with Commercial Banking teams to maintain a high-quality loan portfolio.
Proactively identify trends, concerns, and opportunities to mitigate portfolio risk.
Monitor loan maturities and support timely renewals and portfolio maintenance.
Perform customer visits and site inspections as part of the credit evaluation process.
