Job summary

The ideal candidate has a Master’s in Library Science and at least five years in acquisitions/e-resources, plus three years of supervisory experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Library or Information Science or equivalent required.
• At least five years of progressively responsible acquisitions and/or electronic resources experience.
• Three years of supervisory experience leading staff and workflows.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to adapt to a changing information landscape.
• Demonstrated commitment to professional development/achievement.

Responsibilities

• Lead lifecycle management of print and electronic resources, including trialing, ordering, access, processing, invoicing, and renewal.
• Supervise and mentor staff; manage day-to-day ordering, licensing, and troubleshooting of resources.
• Serve as expert in Alma Acquisitions and Dartmouth financial systems; document procedures for staff.
• Apply a strategic lens to workflow assessment and implement changes to support collections building.
• Coordinate licensing workflows with the Electronic Resources Librarian and maintain active orders.
• Collaborate with selectors to evaluate acquisitions models and update policies accordingly.
• Stay current on trends in acquisitions and electronic resource management; engage in professional communities.
