Job summary

CAVA is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps Manager to lead cloud engineering and SRE teams, shaping scalable, secure cloud platforms and observability across our digital ordering platforms.

You will guide architecture, automation, and cost-efficiency, coordinating with cross-functional partners to deliver reliable cloud solutions and continuous improvement in performance and security.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years managing Cloud Engineering team with 5 years of experience in a Cloud Engineering role.
• Experience in cloud-based DevOps and managing a mid-size distributed team.
• Experience with Agile development methodology.
• Experience with writing infrastructure as code (IaC) such as Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.
• Experience with Grafana or Datadog for unified, real-time monitoring and analytics.
• Experience using a CI/CD tool like Github Actions or CircleCI.
• Ability to communicate effectively with multiple partner teams from requirements to delivery.
• Understanding of DevOps fundamentals including security, scalability, and reliability.
• Ability to design and create cloud-based software defined networking.
• Familiarity with fault-tolerant infrastructure designs across regions and availability zones.
• Certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect or similar cloud provider certs are a plus.
• Results-driven with reliable follow-through and strong collaboration skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design, implementation, and maintenance of the cloud platform ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect solutions and deliver cloud projects.
• Manage cloud engineering team capacity planning and staffing for current and future needs.
• Build and mentor a high-performing cloud engineering team with development plans.
• Define KPIs for engineers to strive toward and track progress.
• Provide thought leadership on cloud principles, automation, observability, and resilience.
• Manage cloud platform operational costs and optimize cloud spend.
• Ensure best practices for security monitoring, threat modeling, and incident response.
