Job summary

Google Public Sector is seeking an Application Development Strategic Cloud Engineer to join the Global Public Sector Service Delivery team. You will help customers maximize value from Google Cloud Platform investments, with a focus on Reston, VA and other US locations.

You will lead engagements, build strong stakeholder relationships, and deliver production-ready solutions while mentoring teams. This role requires up to 30% travel and collaboration with partners and product teams to solve

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
6 years of experience in system design or one programming language (e.g., Java, C++, Python).
6 years of experience in technical troubleshooting and managing internal/external partners or customers.
Active TS/SCI US Government security clearance.

Responsibilities

Maximize value from GCP investments for public sector customers.
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Deliver production-ready solutions and drive regional customer success.
Create reusable artifacts and establish global processes for public sector projects.
Advise customers on complex application development and ML challenges.
Collaborate with customers, partners, and Google product teams to deliver tailored solutions into production.
Lead technically on multi-organizational project teams.
