Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking an Engagement Manager to lead IT project delivery for customer initiatives. You will work across teams, define goals, manage budgets and timelines, and ensure alignment with stakeholders while guiding agile delivery.

You will travel to client sites as needed, manage client expectations, and leverage AWS capabilities to exceed commitments and drive cloud adoption across State, Local Government and Education customers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of leading the delivery of IT projects with external customers or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of program or engagement management work leading other project managers to deliver a program with multiple and concurrent projects experience.
• 1+ years of working as a Scrum Master or Product Owner across multiple cross-functional teams experience.
• 3+ years of cloud computing experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery across a matrixed team of AWS members, customer stakeholders, SMEs and vendors to meet project goals.
• Define project goals, governance plans, schedules, milestones, budgets and success criteria.
• Align goals across stakeholder groups and communicate via executive updates and detailed sprint/financial reports.
• Apply judgement to challenge, redirect teams and manage client expectations during engagements.
• Travel to client locations as needed and deliver professional services.
