Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking an Engagement Manager to understand customer missions, define project goals, and lead cross-functional teams to deliver cloud solutions.

You will guide customers through their cloud journey, manage scope, schedule, and costs using agile delivery, and communicate with stakeholders at all levels. Travel to client locations is required for this customer-facing role.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of technical specialist, design and architecture experience.
• 5+ years of database experience (SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Kinesis).
• 7+ years of consulting, design and implementation of serverless distributed solutions.
• 5+ years of software development with object oriented language experience.
• 3+ years of cloud-based solution, system, network and OS experience (AWS or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Work with State Local Government and Education customers to envision transformational cloud initiatives.
• Deliver business objectives by managing a matrixed team across multi-stream, agile, technical engagements; plan, organize, and manage all project phases.
• Ensure goal alignment across stakeholder groups; create and deliver executive-level updates and detailed sprint plans.
• Apply judgment to challenge, recommend, and redirect teams while managing client expectations.
• Travel to client locations to deliver professional services as needed.
