Job summary

Indiana Office of Technology seeks a Cloud and AI Architect to design and optimize IT infrastructure, drive cloud strategy across Azure and GCP, and govern enterprise AI systems. The role partners with stakeholders and leadership to ensure scalable, secure platforms aligned with agency goals.

The ideal candidate has hands-on Terraform and CI/CD experience, strong AI governance skills, and a track record of collaborating across security, operations, and architecture teams.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience with Azure or GCP.
• Production deployment experience using a foundation model platform.
• Knowledge of AI safety, hallucination mitigation, and governance in government data contexts.
• 7+ years applying cloud architecture and AI governance in similar roles.
• Ability to collaborate across business units, architecture, operations, and security on standards.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize cloud infrastructure across Azure and GCP.
• Develop cloud strategy and governance for enterprise AI and generative AI systems.
• Establish security, compliance standards, and data classification controls.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, development teams, and leadership to ensure alignment with enterprise goals.
