The State of Indiana Office of Technology is seeking a Cloud and AI Architect to design, implement, and optimize scalable, secure IT infrastructure. You will lead architecture efforts across Azure, GCP, and AWS, emphasizing automation, governance, and cost efficiency.

This role requires strong collaboration with stakeholders and leadership, with a focus on AI governance, identity integration, and robust security practices. A degree is not required, but 7+ years of relevant experience is expected.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of enterprise cloud architecture or related role.
• Experience with Azure or GCP; familiarity with AWS.
• Experience documenting cloud architecture strategy, policy, and procedures, with emphasis on IaC and automation-first deployment.
• Knowledge of business drivers, technology strategy, and software architecture goals.
• Ability to articulate technological and budgetary impact of cloud design decisions.

Responsibilities

• Develops cloud strategy and infrastructure to support secure, scalable, automated deployment models.
• Evaluates cloud service offerings and architecture decisions across Azure, GCP, AWS.
• Establishes deployment practices to improve efficiency and maintainability.
• Assesses project risks related to constraints and resources; participates in strategy development.
• Participates in cloud security analysis and threat mitigation focusing on identity, networking, encryption, and operations.
