Position Overview
- Position Title : Strategic Client Partner
- Reporting To : Global Business Head

Scope
The Strategic Client Partner will head the Virtual Business Unit (VBU) for one of the strategic Hi-Tech accounts and bring a focused approach to addressing their customers’ needs and strategies. The role involves leading and growing the VBU, including revenue and profit responsibility and managing a team of account managers.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is familiar with the Hi-Tech industry, especially hyperscalers, and has existing relationships with senior executives at target customers (e.g., VP Engineering, CTO). They should identify customer pain points, create long‑term solutions, and build trusted relationships, maturity, scalability, and sustainability for the VBU.
Experience required includes solutions sales, customer relationship development, general management, and P&L management in a reputable organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Revenue and Profit Growth – lead overall efforts to grow VBU revenue and profit.
- Relationships – leverage existing customer relationships with engineering influencers and decision‑makers, and expand relationships with senior and mid‑level customers.
- Account Analysis, Plans and Implementation – develop and implement strategic account planning (StrAP) to identify growth focus areas.
- Unsolicited Campaigns – lead unsolicited, strategic campaigns to grow the account and monitor milestones.
- Solicited Proposals – manage all solicited proposal responses for new business services or customers and achieve revenue targets quarterly.
- Expand to New Locations / Divisions – implement plans to enter new geographies or divisions of key customers.
- Customer Communications – hold quarterly customer reviews, lead/author account branding newsletters, and other communications.
- Cross‑Sell and Up‑Sell – apply best practices to introduce new services to key accounts.
- Annual Budgets and Forecasts – create annual revenue and expense forecasts as well as monthly rolling forecasts.
- Lead Virtual Business Unit – coordinate efforts, hold weekly meetings, and lead monthly reports to Sales & Delivery executives.
- Invest in Sales Discretionary Funding – identify, approve, and monitor internal investments for operations support.
- Billing Rate Negotiations – establish rates that leverage value pricing and conduct competitive positioning analysis.
Work Experience & Skills
- Deep expertise in the Hi-Tech industry with extensive hyperscaler account experience.
- Strong relationships with senior leadership and mid‑level technical managers.
- Product management and business development experience in Hi-Tech, with global customer management.
- Engineering knowledge across product life‑cycle, digital solutions, embedded software, systems engineering, firmware, mechanical and structural design, manufacturing, and support.
- Experience with lifecycle engineering services, outsourcing processes, funding, and major suppliers.
- Track record of P&L ownership and profitable growth.
- Commercial skills: sales process, negotiation, pricing, costing, discount structures, and contract development.
- Team building and development experience.
- Leadership of cross‑functional and remote offshore teams.
- Strategic account planning and complex proposal authoring.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree – Engineering (Master’s degree/MBA preferred).
- Formal training/experience in program management, negotiations, and strategic selling.

Pay Range: USD 240K to 300K, plus an additional 40% sales incentive and ESOP eligibility.

Work Requirements
- Hybrid arrangements available. Position is located in Houston, Texas.
- Must commute with personal transportation to meet required working hours.
Travel Requirements
- Occasional travel, less than 25% of the time.
