Job summary

Unum seeks a National Client Manager to steward relationships for large group clients, delivering customized service strategies for cases with 2,000+ lives. You will drive growth, retention, and profitability through proactive client engagement and strategic problem solving.

The role supports the Chicago/Milwaukee team with a focus on renewal planning, risk assessment, and cross-functional collaboration across sales, operations, and underwriting. Internal and external candidates may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Strong consultative and relationship-building skills.
• Experience in employee benefits/insurance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead account management strategy for assigned block of business within a defined territory.
• Develop and implement strategic, customized business plans for clients.
• Present renewal conditioning and claim trend analyses to clients and brokers.
• Provide consultation on health management strategies and Unum solutions.
• Engage with client teams and internal partners to ensure successful implementations and ongoing service.
