Job summary

Unum is seeking a National Client Manager to oversee the Chicago/Milwaukee region and large client blocks. This role focuses on strategic management of relationships, renewal planning, and delivering tailored service strategies for complex cases.

Remote/hybrid work options and travel are possible as part of the role. Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree and 5–7 years in employee benefits/insurance, with strong consultative and relationship-building skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5 to 7 years employee benefits/insurance industry experience preferred.
• Strong consultative skills; able to think broadly when problem solving and making decisions.
• Superior relationship building/management, interpersonal and partnership skills.
• Presale expertise that can assist in the influence and sale of Unum’s value proposition.

Responsibilities

• Lead resources and coordinate efforts to meet client needs.
• Develop actions through risk and health analysis and claim consultation.
• Recommend actions and resolve issues using Unum services and solutions.
• Own account management strategy for an assigned block of business.
• Deliver strategic renewal planning and client education on benefits.
