Job summary

AHU Technologies Inc. is seeking an experienced estimator to support bid strategies, quantify projects, and assist in contract negotiations. You will review estimates for accuracy, present to stakeholders, and help shape winning bids for heavy civil and utility projects.

The role requires strong leadership, detailed cost analysis, and familiarity with heavy bid software. You will collaborate with management and clients, supporting budgeting and performance evaluations across the department.

Qualifications

• Must have robust knowledge of estimating strategies and techniques.
• Proven ability in negotiating contracts and change orders.
• Strong organizational, supervisory, and decision-making skills.
• Experience with heavy civil and utility construction including public works.
• Advanced management or technical training preferred.
• Fluency in HCSS Heavy Bid Software is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist corporate and project management in determining bid strategies and project types.
• Review final estimate packages for accuracy and completeness before quotations.
• Participate in presentations to corporate management and clients.
• May be responsible for closing the sale.
• Provide technical assistance in contract negotiations and change orders.
• Assist in preparing studies, materials, methods, recommendations, and cost estimates.
• Manage department functions including budgets, staffing, and performance evaluations.
