Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in public administration, architecture, planning, engineering, or related field.
• 1 year of planning/zoning or permitting experience.
• US citizenship or legal work status.
• Valid Georgia driver’s license.
• Pre-employment drug testing and background checks as required.

Responsibilities

• Follow and promote city policies and procedures.
• Inform and advise Department Director on department issues.
• Provide advice, support, and information to department heads, officials, and the public.
• Perform current planning, building, and site plan review duties as necessary.
• Meet with developers to review plans for compliance with zoning codes.
• Review and recommend approvals of plats.
• Prepare updates to City maps and planning documents.
• Coordinate meetings with other departments and assist with council agendas.
• Respond to routine questions and provide information on land use and site plans.
