Job summary

Northern Kentucky Community Action Commission Inc seeks a Chief Human Resources Officer to lead the agency’s people strategy and HR operations. The CHRO partners with the CEO, executive team, and Board to align workforce planning with NKCAC’s mission and long-term goals.

The role oversees talent management, compensation, benefits, compliance, and employee relations, driving a culture of accountability, inclusion, and service excellence across locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred.
• Minimum of ten (10) years HR leadership experience.
• Knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
• SHRM certification or plan to obtain within 24 months.
• Ability to travel between agency locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive oversight of HR strategy, workforce planning, and policy implementation.
• Advise CEO and Board on workforce trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Lead compensation, benefits, and talent development initiatives.
• Oversee HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and compliance.
• Develop and monitor HR metrics and dashboards for leadership.
• Ensure confidentiality and uphold a culture of inclusion and accountability.
