Job summary

Terex Utilities is seeking a Chassis Buyer in Watertown, SD (or Waukesha, WI) to lead end-to-end chassis procurement, engage with engineering and operations, and drive cost reductions across Terex Utilities product lines.

Responsibilities include negotiating with suppliers, developing standard lead times, and coordinating with centralized procurement to secure best total cost solutions while maintaining supply for multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, procurement, supply chain, business, operations.
• 5–7 years’ experience in purchasing, buyer, or material planner in automotive or OEM manufacturing.
• APICS certification or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read engineering blueprints or technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement and buying for chassis and collaborate with engineering, commercial, operations and scheduling teams.
• Coordinate with central procurement to optimize total cost and negotiate contracts.
• Develop standard ordering lead times for chassis across sources of supply.
• Create and release purchase orders; share forecasts with suppliers/dealers.
• Manage inventory reviews and supplier relationships; monitor supplier performance.
