Job summary

Sewer Equipment in Dixon, IL is seeking a Chassis Buyer to procure chassis to support production schedules and maintain accurate purchasing data. This role serves as the primary liaison between chassis suppliers, Engineering, Production, Sales, and other internal stakeholders to ensure chassis availability meets customer and operational needs.

You will proactively manage orders, monitor deliveries, resolve delays, and maintain data to support production planning and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Two years of purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or related experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and ERP/business management systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain highly accurate records.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure chassis to meet production and customer delivery requirements.
• Create, update, and maintain purchase orders with pricing, specs, and delivery dates.
• Monitor and manage chassis delivery schedules to align with production requirements.
• Identify and resolve chassis-related delays and issues.
• Communicate chassis status, risks, and recovery plans to stakeholders.
• Update production schedules and inventory tools with delivery and receipt dates.
