Job summary

Slate Auto is seeking an experienced procurement leader to own and execute sourcing strategies for high-value automotive categories. You will lead RFIs, RFQs, and negotiations for production parts, tooling, and services, while resolving cost, quality, and delivery issues to protect production timelines.

The role requires a track record of enterprise-wide cost reductions, supplier development, and cross-functional partnership with Engineering, Quality, Program Management, and Finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in SCM, business, engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years in Procurement/Supply Chain or Engineering.
• 5+ years in automotive with category specialization.
• Proven ownership of complex, multi-category sourcing and cost savings.

Responsibilities

• Set sourcing strategy for high-value categories and lead supplier readiness.
• Lead RFIs, RFQs, and negotiations for production parts and services.
• Negotiate multi-million-dollar supply agreements and terms.
• Drive category strategies, supplier development, and performance scorecards.
• Lead risk mitigation and launch timing with cross-functional teams.
