Job summary

The American Journalism Project seeks an experienced Chief Financial and Administrative Officer to lead finance, operations and technology for a national nonprofit venture philanthropy organization.

Reporting to the CEO, the CFAO will guide budgets, risk controls, grants administration and financial reporting while building scalable systems and a collaborative culture across a fully remote team.

Qualifications

• Senior financial leadership with CEO and board collaboration.
• Experience in nonprofit finance, investigations and regulatory compliance.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, audits and grantmaking processes.
• Strong communication and change-management skills.

Responsibilities
