Job summary

Girl Scouts Nation’s Capital seeks a Chief Financial and Administrative Officer to safeguard financial health and drive operational excellence across finance, IT, risk management, and facilities. The CFAO will partner with the CEO and Board to implement the strategic plan and modernize enterprise systems.

The role requires a seasoned finance/operational leader with nonprofit experience, 10+ years of leadership, and a degree in a related field; MBA/CPA preferred.

Qualifications

• Ten years of progressive leadership experience in finance and administration/operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, reporting, investments, tax filings, and audits.
• Develop long-term financial strategies supporting sustainability and mission-aligned growth.
• Ensure compliance with nonprofit finance regulations and best practices.
• Partner with Governance & Audit and Investment Committees and Board Treasurer.
