Job summary

Aon is seeking a Chief Financial Officer for Reinsurance North America to partner with the leadership team, directing financial strategy, performance management, capital deployment, and governance across the US, Canada, and Caribbean.

This role translates market dynamics into actionable insights for senior leaders and leads a high-performing finance team to ensure disciplined execution and alignment with enterprise objectives.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive finance leadership in global organizations.
• Strong background in strategic finance, FP&A, performance management and capital allocation.
• Experience supporting senior leaders in dynamic or financial services environments; insurance/reinsurance preferred.
• Ability to lead teams, influence across a matrix, and operate at the executive level.
• Deep financial modeling, profitability assessment, valuation and scenario planning.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary finance advisor to NA Reinsurance leadership, delivering insights on growth, profitability, and capital deployment.
• Lead financial input into the NA reinsurance operating plan and long-range business planning.
• Evaluate initiatives including organic investments, talent deployment, pricing, portfolio mix and M&A for ROI and value creation.
• Provide forward-looking analysis on market cycles, pricing trends, capacity dynamics and client segment profitability.
• Own financial performance management for NA reinsurance, including monthly results, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Develop metrics to predict performance and enable early course correction; drive portfolio analytics for products and segments.
