Job summary

Circle Ten Council, a nonprofit youth-serving organization, seeks a strategic Chief Financial Officer to lead fiscal integrity, planning, and reporting. The CFO will oversee accounting, budgeting, internal controls, audits, payroll, and tax compliance.

Reporting to the Scout Executive/CEO, the role requires CPA certification, a bachelor’s in accounting or finance, and 10+ years of progressive fiscal management with supervisory experience in nonprofit settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field required; CPA preferred.
• CPA certification required; nonprofit experience a plus.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive fiscal management experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Oversee budgeting, accounting, financial reporting, cash management, and forecasting.
• Lead annual budgeting process and multi-year financial forecasting.
• Prepare monthly financial statements with variance analysis and board reporting.
• Maintain GAAP-compliant internal controls and tax compliance.
• Support audits, IRS filings, and grant reporting; supervise finance staff.
