Job summary

Pure IT, a growing MSP serving credit unions, seeks a strategic CFO to guide financial direction and drive profitable growth. You will partner with the COO, Board, and executives to shape strategy and ensure robust financial controls.

The role oversees accounting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, tax, and reporting under US GAAP. You will build dashboards with KPIs, lead audits, and mentor the finance team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience, including senior executive leadership.
• Previous experience as a CFO, VP of Finance, or Corporate Controller preferred.
• Experience working within MSP/IT services or recurring revenue models preferred.
• Strong understanding of recurring revenue accounting, profitability, and subscription-based models.
• Experience leading mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, and financial modeling.
• Proven experience building dashboards, KPIs, forecasting models, and executive reporting.
• Advanced knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and executive presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic business partner to the COO, executive leadership team, and Board, driving growth and long-term decisions.
• Lead all financial operations including accounting, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, tax, AP/AR, credit, and cash management.
• Ensure timely, accurate recording and reporting under U.S. GAAP and company policies.
• Develop and improve financial policies, controls, and compliance programs to safeguard assets.
• Lead annual budgeting, long-range planning, forecasting, and capital planning.
• Provide executive dashboards and KPIs for data-driven decisions.
• Monitor revenue metrics (MRR/ARR), gross/operating margins, cash flow, and profitability by unit.
• Manage working capital and optimize operations for efficiency.
• Oversee pricing strategy, service profitability, and contract performance.
• Lead due diligence, valuation, integration planning, and post-acquisition reporting.
