Job summary

On Site Medical & Safety is seeking a highly organized accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations in Lafayette, LA. The role supports budgeting, payroll, and tax filings while collaborating with a CPA for year-end reporting.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of accounting experience, strong financial reporting skills, and prior supervision experience. This office-based position allows infrequent remote work on a situational basis.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles.
• Experience with QuickBooks.
• Experience in small business or multi-entity environments.
• Experience supervising or managing staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations (AP/AR, general ledger, reconciliations).
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting and forecasting.
• Oversee payroll and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Coordinate with CPA for year-end reporting and tax filings.
• Close the books monthly and review P&L and balance sheet.
