Job summary

Flowerhire seeks a seasoned CFO to lead financial strategy and execution for a public cannabis company. You will partner with the CEO, President, and Board to drive growth, profitability, liquidity, and shareholder value across multisite operations.

You will oversee accounting, reporting, treasury, tax, and internal controls, while guiding capital allocation, investor relations, and risk management in a regulated industry.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field required; MBA or other relevant advanced degree preferred.
• Active CPA designation strongly preferred.
• 15+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including at least five years in a CFO or senior financial leadership role.
• Public company experience (NYSE or NASDAQ) with U.S. GAAP, securities reporting, external audits, SOX oversight.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the financial strategy aligned with the Company’s objectives; advise the CEO and Board on growth, capital allocation, financing, and risk.
• Lead annual budgets, multi-year plans, rolling forecasts, and scenario analysis; set assumptions and accountability.
• Provide decision support for expansion, automation, infrastructure, product and channel strategy, and investments.
• Present financial results and recommendations to the Board and executive team in practical terms.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closes and financial disclosures under U.S. GAAP.
• Lead securities filings for U.S. and Canadian markets in coordination with Legal and IR.
• Manage internal controls to ensure SOX compliance and effective disclosure.
