Job summary

East 57th Street Partners is seeking a hands-on Chief Financial Officer for a portfolio company based in the Denver metro area. The role partners with the CEO and PE sponsor to strengthen the finance function, lead accounting and planning, and drive the growth strategy through add-on acquisitions.

The ideal candidate has proven CFO experience in a middle-market business with private equity exposure, a strong technical foundation, and the ability to manage multiple entities across the platform.

Qualifications

• Proven CFO or senior finance leadership experience in a middle-market business.
• Meaningful experience working with private equity sponsors, boards, and lenders.
• Demonstrated experience with add-on acquisitions and post-acquisition financial integration.
• Strong technical accounting foundation combined with expertise in FP&A, cash management, and operational finance.
• Experience improving financial systems, reporting, and processes across multiple entities or locations.
• Ability to translate financial analysis into practical business decisions and hold teams accountable for execution.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with operators, executives, and investors.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA and/or MBA preferred.
• Ability to work in the Denver metro office four days per week and travel approximately 15% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO, leadership team, and private equity sponsor on financial performance, capital allocation, and growth.
• Lead accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning and analysis.
• Support add-on acquisitions through financial modeling, valuation analysis, diligence coordination, and transaction execution.
• Lead post-acquisition financial integration, including accounting policies, reporting, systems, controls, and finance teams.
• Establish integration plans, track milestones, and measure acquisition performance and synergy realization.
• Develop consistent reporting across the platform and acquired businesses to provide timely, actionable insights.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, liquidity, debt compliance, and lender relationships.
• Prepare and present financial results, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to the board and sponsor.
• Strengthen processes, systems, and internal controls to support a growing organization.
• Build and develop a finance team that can support both day-to-day operations and acquisition activity.
