Dallas–Fort Worth | Hybrid: Four Days in Office, One Day Remote

Travel: Approximately 15%

Compensation: Base Salary + Annual Bonus + Equity

About the Opportunity

E57 Partners is conducting this search on behalf of a middle-market private equity firm seeking a Chief Financial Officer for one of its portfolio companies, an approximately $175 million business based in the Dallas–Fort Worth area.

The company is seeking a hands‑on finance leader with experience supporting growth through add‑on acquisitions and integrating acquired businesses. This is an opportunity to partner closely with the CEO and private equity sponsor, strengthen the finance function, and help execute the company’s growth strategy.

The Role

The CFO will lead the company’s accounting and finance functions, with responsibility for financial reporting, planning and analysis, cash management, controls, and lender and board reporting.

The ideal candidate combines strategic judgment with strong execution. They should be comfortable evaluating acquisition opportunities, supporting diligence and transaction execution, and leading financial integration after close. Prior experience in a private equity–backed business pursuing an active add‑on acquisition strategy is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO, leadership team, and private equity sponsor on financial performance, capital allocation, and growth.
  • Lead accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning and analysis.
  • Support add‑on acquisitions through financial modeling, valuation analysis, diligence coordination, and transaction execution.
  • Lead post‑acquisition financial integration, including accounting policies, reporting, systems, controls, and finance teams.
  • Establish integration plans, track milestones, and measure acquisition performance and synergy realization.
  • Develop consistent reporting across the platform and acquired businesses to provide timely, actionable insights.
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, liquidity, debt compliance, and lender relationships.
  • Prepare and present financial results, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to the board and sponsor.
  • Strengthen processes, systems, and internal controls to support a growing organization.
  • Build and develop a finance team that can support both day‑to‑day operations and acquisition activity.
Qualifications
  • Proven CFO or senior finance leadership experience in a middle‑market business.
  • Meaningful experience working with private equity sponsors, boards, and lenders.
  • Demonstrated experience with add‑on acquisitions and post‑acquisition financial integration.
  • Strong technical accounting foundation combined with expertise in FP&A, cash management, and operational finance.
  • Experience improving financial systems, reporting, and processes across multiple entities or locations.
  • Ability to translate financial analysis into practical business decisions and hold teams accountable for execution.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with operators, executives, and investors.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required; CPA and/or MBA preferred.
  • Ability to work in the DFW office four days per week and travel approximately 15% of the time.
Ideal Candidate Profile

A hands‑on CFO who has helped a private equity–backed platform grow through acquisitions and understands what it takes to integrate businesses after close. The strongest candidates will bring both M&A experience and the ability to build a disciplined, scalable finance function while remaining close to the business.
