Job summary

Rung for Women seeks a strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to guide the nonprofit’s financial health, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management. You will lead accounting, oversight of operations, and compliance while supporting executive leadership and mission growth.

The role partners with the CEO and Board to ensure sustainable resource allocation, transparent reporting, and scalable processes aligned with our mission to empower women toward economic stability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• MBA or other relevant master's degree strongly preferred.
• CPA, CMA, or other professional certification is a plus.
• Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible financial leadership experience.
• Minimum 5 years of senior leadership experience leading teams.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, audits, and compliance in nonprofit settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting, financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities.
• Develop multi-year financial projections and sustainability models.
• Oversee cash flow, reserves, investments, and liquidity strategies.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and IRS/grant rule adherence.
• Present financial information to the Board of Directors and Committees.
• Provide executive oversight of finance, operations, and facilities.
