Job summary

LHH is assisting a Louisville-based financial services and insurance technology company in their search for a dynamic and experienced Chief Financial Officer to join the executive team.

This role directs all financial aspects of the company, drives financial strategy, and ensures the organization's long-term financial health, with a focus on leadership, governance, and strategic decision-making at the highest level.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA designation strongly preferred; MBA or equivalent advanced degree a plus
• Prior experience in the financial services and/or insurance environment preferred
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
• Exceptional leadership, analytical, communication, and strategic decision-making skills
• Experience with PE firms is helpful

Responsibilities

• Providing strategic and operational leadership to the CEO and executive team on strategic planning, financial planning, and investment priorities
• Lead all accounting, finance, treasury, and financial reporting functions
• Direct budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and cash flow management
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, insurance regulations, tax requirements, and internal controls
• Partner with the CEO and executive leadership to develop and execute financial strategies that support business objectives
• Analyze financial performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency
• Oversee annual audits, banking relationships, financial risk management, and regulatory reporting
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team
