Evidence Action seeks a high-ownership Chief Financial Officer to architect the financial backbone for a rapidly scaling AI-focused global development organization. You will partner with the CEO to shape financial strategy, manage cross-border operations, and design AI-driven processes.

You will lead external partners and ensure strong controls, audits, and grant reporting from the first close onward in a fully remote US-based role.

Qualifications

• Must have 12+ years in finance with accountability for full books.

Responsibilities

• Design and stand up core financial architecture, including accounting systems and month-end close.
• Develop AI-native accounting and finance processes for efficiencies.
• Build financial models and forecasts for strategic decisions.
• Oversee outsourced partners (auditors, legal, payroll, insurance).
• Own Form 990 and grant reporting obligations.
