Job summary

Aegis AI is seeking a Strategic Finance Operations leader to partner with the CEO and founding team. You will build the financial engine for a fast-growing AI startup, shaping budgeting, forecasting, and capital allocation while driving pricing strategy and cloud economics.

You will own the early finance infrastructure, manage fundraising data, and coordinate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and GTM to optimize costs and ROI. This role tracks to a future CFO path.

Qualifications

• 4–7+ years of experience in finance roles at high-growth startups.
• Experience in Investment Banking, Private Equity, Big 4 Accounting or FP&A at startups.
• Financial modeling and SaaS metrics fluency; familiarity with LLM token economics beneficial.
• CPA, CFA or deep accounting knowledge preferred.
• Able to communicate financial concepts to engineers and investors.

Responsibilities

• Own budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation processes.
• Lead the setup of scalable ERP/billing systems and GAAP compliance, including payroll.
• Own the financial model, diligence data room, and fundraising data narrative.
• Coordinate across Product, Engineering, and GTM on cost models and pricing for AI features.
• Prepare board decks, investor updates, and performance memos with clear narratives.
