Job summary

My Client, an established commercial construction company, seeks a Chief Financial Officer to join the leadership team and guide financial health, reporting, and risk management. This hands-on role will partner with ownership and project leaders to improve profitability, budgeting, cash flow, and financial systems across Vista by Viewpoint and Procore.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive accounting or financial leadership experience in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction accounting, job costing, WIP, and percentage-of-completion accounting.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.
• Experience working with banks, sureties, insurance providers, and outside CPA firms.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all accounting and financial reporting functions.
• Manage construction accounting, job costing, WIP, and percentage-of-completion reporting.
• Oversee project forecasting, cost-to-complete projections, gross margins, and project profitability.
• Partner with Project Managers to identify financial risks, cost overruns, and margin issues.
• Lead annual budgeting, financial forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Monitor working capital, billing, collections, retainage, and overall liquidity.
• Maintain banking, bonding, insurance, CPA, and other external financial relationships.
• Lead and develop the accounting team.
• Provide ownership with timely financial analysis, reporting, and strategic recommendations.
• Help improve and integrate the company’s financial and construction technology systems.
