Job summary

The Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation in Kansas City, MO seeks a Chief Financial Officer to lead all financial operations, including budgeting, accounting, grants administration, and risk management. Qualifications

15+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles.
At least 5 years in a senior leadership role (CFO/VP Finance) leading financial operations.
Experience in nonprofit, philanthropic, or foundation settings is highly valued.
Familiarity with grantmaking and IRS regulations for 501(c)(3) organizations is preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead financial policies and direction; partner with CEO on strategic issues.
Oversee budgeting, accounting, grants administration, reporting, and risk management.
Manage internal controls, financial systems, and fiscal integrity.
Coordinate with cabinet, board committees, and affiliates for financial oversight.
Provide financial insights and reporting to CEO, cabinet, and board.
