Veridian Credit Union in Cedar Falls, IA seeks a Chief Financial Officer to lead Internal Audit, Accounting, and Finance with strategic financial oversight. You will shape budgets, ALM strategies, and performance metrics while guiding mergers, partnerships, and risk management at the executive level.

The role requires CPA, a strong leadership track record in financial services, and the ability to collaborate with the executive team and board on long-range planning and fiduciary duties.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree required; Masters preferred.
• CPA certification required or consider candidates with equivalent credentials.
• 5+ years of leadership experience in a management or supervisory role.
• 5+ years of experience in a financial institution or closely related field.

Responsabilidades

• Plan the strategies and operations of Internal Audit, Accounting, and Finance divisions, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and credit union policies.
• Collaborate with Management Team on special projects, reports, and follow-up.
• Partner with the Chief Officer team on bank acquisitions and credit union mergers.
• Oversee the annual operating budget creation for the credit union and The Veridian Group.
• Develop and oversee investment, hedging, securitization, loan participations, and ALM strategies with the ALM Committee.
• Research and determine critical partners (vendors, fintechs, business partners) and manage expectations and deliverables.
• Monitor competitiveness of loan and deposit rates against peers; stay abreast of regulatory changes.
• Monitor financial results and key metrics; present trends and risks to the Executive Team and Board.
• Prepare financial projections for strategic decisions; oversee quarterly ALM board reports.
• Participate in Commercial Lending Committee decisions and stay updated on loan quality criteria.
• Serve on Asset and Liability Management, Commercial Lending, and 401(k) Investment Committees; be a Veridian Group board member.
• Collaborate with Executive Team to manage the Credit Union in the President/CEO absence.
• Act as liaison to the Audit and Risk Committee; coach team for development; define expectations.
• Interview and hire qualified applicants; orient and support team in mission, vision, values, and leadership culture.
• Plan for the future with an open, proactive stance supporting members, department, and organization financially and strategically.
