Job summary

1st Gateway Credit Union in Camanche, IA, is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead accounting, finance and risk management for a $170 million community financial institution. You will report to the CEO and serve on the Executive Team.

You will oversee budgeting, regulatory reporting, GL integrity, liquidity and capital management, and coordinate with external auditors and regulators. CPA is a plus, relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• Banking or credit union experience is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• 5+ years in accounting or finance at a bank or credit union.
• Experience with regulatory reporting for a financial institution.
• CPA is a plus, not a requirement.
• Must be bondable.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Prepare and file required regulatory reports accurately and on time.
• Own general ledger integrity and account reconciliation, and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Oversee accounting performed across departments and validate that it is accurate and complete.
• Manage liquidity, capital, investments, and interest rate risk.
• Present financial results to the Board of Directors.
• Work directly with external auditors and regulators.
