Job summary

1ST Gateway Credit Union in Iowa is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for a $170 million community financial institution. You will report directly to the CEO and sit on the Executive Team.

Responsibilities include presenting financial results to the Board, managing liquidity and risk, and coordinating with external auditors and regulators. A CPA is a plus; relocation assistance is considered for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Experience in banking or credit unions required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years in accounting/finance at a bank or credit union.
• CPA is a plus, not a requirement.
• Must be bondable.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Prepare and file required regulatory reports accurately and on time.
• Own general ledger integrity and account reconciliation, and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Oversee accounting performed across departments and validate that it is accurate and complete.
• Manage liquidity, capital, investments, and interest rate risk.
• Present financial results to the Board of Directors.
• Work directly with external auditors and regulators.
