Job summary

HR MGMT 10, LLC is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead a multi-entity finance function for a regulated cannabis operator. The role builds an in-house accounting department, defines controls, reporting cadence, intercompany architecture, and prepares for audits and future capital events.

You will supervise day-to-day accounting, manage tax strategy and compliance, oversee debt and investor relations, and partner with legal to implement a scalable finance framework across entities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience.
• Experience with Section 280E and cannabis tax positioning.
• Experience building an accounting department from outsourced starting point.
• Experience with consolidated financial reporting across multiple entities and audits.
• Familiarity with METRC or comparable seed-to-sale systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and advise on day-to-day accounting across all entities, including AR, AP, inventory, payroll coordination, reconciliations, and period-end close.
• Build the accounting organization itself, including defined roles, reporting lines, and documented processes.
• Lead the transition of the accounting function away from the interim CFO and outside tax firm.
• Bring each revenue stream and business unit under accounting department ownership.
• Deliver reporting to managers responsible for those businesses.
• Coordinate and supervise federal, state, and local tax planning and compliance.
• Manage intercompany framework, transfer pricing, and consolidation support.
• Oversee internal controls over financial reporting and risk management.
• Support debt covenants, lender reporting, and cap-table administration.
• Assist in acquisitions, due diligence, and purchase price allocations.
