Job summary

Burkland Associates seeks a CFO Advisory Consultant to serve as a long-term financial partner for MSO/PC clients under management service agreements. You will own monthly numbers, design systems, and advise CEOs, physician leadership, and investors on capital planning and intercompany dynamics.

You’ll oversee close, budgeting, and forecasting, while driving KPI dashboards and investor updates. This role leverages expertise in healthcare finance, FP&A, and strategic growth, with remote-friendly,

Qualifications

Direct MSO/PC experience — management fee arrangements, intercompany settlements, practice-level unit economics.
Experience with healthcare finance, including insurance reimbursements.
History of owning the numbers long-term, not just fixed-fee FP&A models.
Experience advising through growth events — fundraising, M&A, or exits.
7–10 years in finance/operations, ideally in healthcare growth sectors.

Responsibilities

Oversee monthly close, budgeting, and forecasting for MSO/PC entities.
Manage intercompany billing, cost allocations, and fee settlements while maintaining guardrails.
Advise CEO and physician leadership on financial strategy, capital planning, and growth.
Own finance segment of Board meetings with KPI dashboards and investor updates.
Support fundraising and M&A activities with modeling and investor communications.
Maintain revenue cycle, cash flow planning, vendor spend, and audit readiness.
Identify opportunities to promote Burkland's bookkeeping, tax, and HR services.
