Job summary

Paladin Consulting is seeking an experienced procurement professional to lead data-driven sourcing initiatives in the MEP/construction sector. The role entails negotiating terms, delivering low Total Cost of Ownership, and mentoring the Procurement Group across projects from inception to completion.

Responsibilities include market analysis, supplier relationship management, and developing comprehensive source strategies while ensuring compliance with budget and safety directives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or preferred in relevant field.
• 5+ years of procurement or related function experience in MEP or construction industries.
• Expertise in procurement with sourcing and supply chain knowledge.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct market research to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions.
• Demonstrate understanding of project management lifecycle in MEP/construction industries.
• Develop and implement source strategies for new and existing projects with suppliers.
• Address cost, quality, reliability, risk, safety, and regulatory considerations.
• Draft, negotiate, and evaluate master and strategic contracts within budget and authority.
• Analyze cost and supply determinants across targeted categories, including upstream inputs and market trends.
• Provide coaching and leadership to Tactical Procurement for consistency and strategic practices.
• Contribute to procurement policy development and supplier relationship management.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure SLAs are met and drive supplier performance evaluation.
• Design and manage action plans for risk mitigation and continuous improvement.
• Support timely delivery and smooth operations across short and long-term objectives.
• Undertake special projects and perform analyses using Excel, Power BI, and data tools.
• Prepare and deliver activity and performance reports by category.
• Perform other duties as required.
