Job summary

National Grid in the United States is seeking a US/UK MRO, Logistics & Investment Recovery Category Manager in a hybrid role. You will develop and implement category strategies and manage sourcing delivery across a US/UK portfolio, including MRO, Logistics and Investment Recovery, working with regions to improve value, service, resilience and sustainability.

Qualifications

• Significant procurement experience with a strong record of developing and implementing category strategies and leading complex sourcing portfolios.
• Demonstrable category management experience across MRO, Logistics, Investment Recovery, and related supply-chain categories.
• Understanding of MRO supply markets, logistics, and investment recovery principles.

Responsibilities

• Own the development, approval, implementation and refresh of category strategies across the US and UK MRO, Logistics and Investment Recovery portfolio.
• Build category plans reflecting regional requirements while identifying cross-regional opportunities.
• Define category scope, demand profiles, supply-market dynamics, and commercial opportunities using spend and supplier data.
• Lead strategies across MRO, Logistics and Investment Recovery to improve spend visibility and supplier consolidation.
• Translate category strategies into prioritised sourcing and contract-management plans with governance and outcomes.
• Lead the sourcing delivery portfolio ensuring activity is resourced and compliant with governance.
• Lead strategic supplier relationships to improve performance and value realization.
• Manage a geographically dispersed team across US and UK and provide coaching and development.
