Job summary

US Foods in Rosemont, IL is seeking an Associate Category Manager who drives category performance through detailed analysis of assortment, pricing changes, and vendor negotiations. The role focuses on new product reviews and pricing work while coordinating with cross-functional teams.

This is a hybrid position with three onsite days in Rosemont (Tue–Thu) and two remote days (Mon & Fri). Compensation reflects market rates and incentive opportunities.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree in business or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years experience in retail, food service or consumer goods.
• Experience in vendor relations, pricing and management of product assortment.
• Category Management experience strongly desired.

Responsibilities

• Analyze category performance including assortment, pricing, promotions and new product introductions.
• Develop RFPs and RFIs; review vendor proposals and contracts.
• Negotiate promotions and VPAs with suppliers.
• Review vendor performance reports and provide recommendations.
• Analyze top SKUs by division and region; suggest assortment changes.
• Analyze pricing impact and develop category communications including launches.
• Coordinate with US Foods regions to address category strategy and escalate issues.
