Job summary

Valley Vet Supply is seeking a Category Manager to lead assigned product categories, drive sales, margin, and inventory turns, and deliver an exceptional customer experience. You will shape category strategies and curate a strong mix of brands and private labels.

In a hybrid role, you’ll collaborate with merchandising, marketing, and supply chain teams to execute initiatives, monitor performance, and respond to market trends while representing the brand at industry events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Animal Science, or related field.
• 3+ years in Category Management, Merchandising, Buying, or related retail/e-commerce role.
• Experience in a DTC e-commerce environment is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of Animal Health, Equine, or Farm industries highly preferred.
• Proficient Excel skills (Pivot tables, lookups, basic modeling).
• BI visualization tools knowledge (Sigma/Tableau/PowerBI/Looker) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop category strategies to strengthen market position and optimize pricing and inventory.
• Monitor competitors and execute actions to protect brand authority and margins.
• Collaborate with e-commerce and marketing for digital merchandising and SEO-friendly PDPs.
