Job summary

Truist is seeking a Category Manager to oversee demand and supply management for assigned spend categories, optimize total cost of ownership, manage supplier risk, and ensure alignment with business stakeholders.

You will lead cross-functional teams on category strategies, RFIs and RFPs, perform market analysis, monitor supplier performance, and drive value across Truist while maintaining regulatory and risk standards.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree is required.
• 6 to 8 years of relevant sourcing experience.
• Proven ability to manage matrixed supplier relationships.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Implements category strategies within medium spend levels to optimize efficiency.
• Develops understanding of current category activity and drives value.
• Leads cross-functional teams in RFIs, RFPs, contracts, and sourcing plans.
• Performs market data analysis for negotiations and supplier selection.
• Executes full sourcing process including scope, supplier selection, and contract execution.
• Engages risk stakeholders and drives supplier performance improvements.
