bioMérieux in Missouri seeks an experienced Procurement Category Manager to lead sourcing for optics, electronics, and packaging, ensuring compliance and CSR alignment. You will drive cost, quality, and supply continuity while partnering with Engineering and Legal to negotiate contracts and supplier agreements.

The role requires 5+ years in procurement with category strategy experience, cross-cultural exposure, and SAP/ERP familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required.
• 5+ years in procurement/category manager or buyer role with category-sourcing experience.
• Experience in negotiations (contracts, pricing, lead times).
• Cross-cultural and international experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing activities for assigned categories and components in compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Support product lifecycle and obsolescence management by partnering with Engineering to identify, evaluate, and source alternate components, including LTBs.
• Identify and execute cost reduction and value improvement initiatives through market analysis and supplier negotiations.
• Develop and implement category strategies aligning with business objectives while ensuring supply continuity, quality, and cost competitiveness.
• Collaborate with Legal, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Engineering teams to prepare for supplier pricing, contract and long-term agreements.
