Job summary

Shield AI is seeking a Strategic Capture Manager to lead engagement strategy and design capture plans with USG Data/AI agencies. You will guide relationships, influence AI policy, and align Shield AI software and simulation portfolios with mission needs.

You will drive multi-year capture plans, coordinate across technical and operational teams, and build trusted relationships with senior USG and DHS stakeholders. A security clearance is preferred and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience in USG strategic capture or policy development.
• Deep knowledge of USG data/AI policy processes.
• Experience with emerging technologies / AI.
• Active Secret clearance (TS preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive capture strategy for USG Data/AI offices and senior DoD/military agencies.
• Lead cross-functional teams toward multi-year strategic program wins.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with key USG/US Military AI decision makers (e.g., CDAO, CIO, DHS).
• Anticipate customer needs and influence policy, requirements, and solicitations to align with Shield AI portfolios.

Job Description:

The Strategic Capture Manager, USG Data Agencies will lead Shield AI’s engagement strategy and design capture plans involving Government and Military Data/AI agencies. This individual will guide, shape, and inform Data/AI agency relationships and influence AI policy and requirements across Shield AI’s software and simulation portfolios.

• Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic capture plan spanning Shield AI’s software and simulation portfolios, with a focus on Data/AI offices at senior USG and US Military agencies.
• Drive teams toward multi-year strategic program wins with USG Data/AI agencies.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships across key USG / US Military AI decision makers, including offices such as the DoW Chief Data / AI Officer (CDAO), DoW Chief Information Officer, and critical Dept of Homeland Security (DHS) and executive branch agencies.
• Anticipate customer needs and influence policy, requirements, and solicitations to positively align with Shield AI portfolios.

Required qualifications:

• 10+ years experience in strategic capture or policy development in the USG
• Deep knowledge of USG and US Military data/AI policy process
• Experience with emerging technologies / AI
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills with the ability to cross-collaborate across technical and operational teams
• Active Secret clearance (TS preferred)

Preferred qualifications:

• Advanced degree in business, engineering, or a related field
• Prior experience in USG AI policy agencies
