Job summary

Hylant, a leading captive insurance broker, seeks a seasoned Captive Account Executive to manage a portfolio of captive clients in partnership with internal teams. You will guide governance, coordinate board activities, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while advising owners and boards on long-term strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
• 7+ years of captive insurance management or related experience.
• Experience with board or executive stakeholders.
• Knowledge of reinsurance structures and fronting arrangements.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Professional designations such as ACI, CPCU, ARM, or pursuing certification.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for captive clients, building consultative relationships with owners and senior leadership.
• Coordinate and support captive board meetings, including materials and minutes.
• Provide strategic guidance on captive performance, structure, and planning.
• Identify client needs and opportunities for program optimization.
• Oversee day-to-day captive operations in line with governance and service agreements.
• Review financial statements and regulatory filings in partnership with auditors and actuaries.
