Job summary

Corning is seeking a Global Supply Management (GSM) professional to support and progressively lead cross-functional sourcing initiatives. You will partner with internal teams and suppliers to meet cost, quality, and risk targets, while driving continuous improvement across sourcing processes.

You will build plans, analyze data in Excel, and contribute to supplier negotiations, onboarding, and post-award activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of procurement, sourcing, or supply chain experience.
• Solid understanding of procurement, supply chain, and project management.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholder communications.
• Proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.

Responsibilities

• Supports and progressively leads cross-functional sourcing projects from opportunity identification to results tracking.
• Develops and executes sourcing plans aligned with requirements, specifications, cost targets, and timelines.
• Leads competitive sourcing activities, including RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs; coordinates responses and communications.
• Performs spend, market, cost, and supplier analyses; develops recommendations for stakeholders.
• Supports supplier negotiations on price, terms, capacity, lead time, and service levels.
• Collaborates with Legal, Finance, Engineering, Quality, Operations to align priorities and support sourcing activities.
• Supports post-award onboarding, transition planning, and handoffs to supplier management.
• Builds relationships with suppliers and internal teams; participates in performance reviews and escalations.
• Tracks and reports savings, cost avoidance, and supply-risk reductions.
