Job summary

Baker Tilly is seeking a Consulting Manager in the United States to lead construction and real estate advisory engagements across capital projects and portfolios. You will perform program reviews, contract cost audits, and real estate assessments while expanding industry knowledge and client relationships.

The role requires strong communication, collaboration across multidisciplinary teams, and the ability to travel up to 25% to serve clients nationwide.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of related experience in construction management, real estate advisory, capital projects consulting, or related fields.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Building Science, Construction Management, Accounting; CPA, CIA, CCA, CFE, PMP or PE preferred.
• Knowledge in planning, pre-construction, contracts, scheduling, cost estimating, reporting, closeout, and real estate portfolio management.
• Experience conducting contract compliance audits, CAM reconciliations, and performance monitoring for public/private clients.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reports and client-facing deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough reviews of construction and real estate processes, controls, and compliance to identify improvement opportunities.
• Assess construction contracts, real estate lease agreements, and capital project performance for contractual and regulatory alignment.
• Provide actionable recommendations to enhance transparency, accountability, and efficiency.
• Lead fieldwork including data collection, site visits, interviews, and documentation; prepare concise reports and presentations.
• Collaborate with project managers, asset managers, legal counsel, clients, contractors, and stakeholders to support oversight, risk mitigation, and dispute resolution.
• Support clients through the real estate and capital project lifecycle from acquisition to disposition, aligning with business objectives.
