Job summary

Methacrylates is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support planning and development of capital engineering projects. You will manage projects to meet technical specs and deadlines, while coordinating with internal teams and external contractors.

The role emphasizes driving projects from concept to closure, ensuring safety, schedule, and budget adherence, and mentoring site personnel in project management excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in chemical engineering or mechanical engineering.
• 8-15 years of experience in a manufacturing plant.
• Experience managing multiple capital/maintenance projects up to $10MM.
• Experience managing engineering and construction companies in scope, schedule, and construction phases.
• Knowledge of mechanical, civil, and electrical codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform work safely according to EHS policies and site procedures.
• Develop and sanction capital projects with cost estimates and documentation.
• Lead projects from concept through closure using project excellence guidelines.
• Deliver projects on budget, on schedule, and with acceptable quality for stakeholders.
• Provide hand-off to operations with training and reliability considerations.
• Contribute to procedures, documents, and tools for project management excellence.
