Job summary

The Chemours Company seeks a Capital Project Estimator to join our team in a hybrid role, supporting capital and non-capital project estimates across multiple sites. Based in the Central or Eastern time zones, you will develop conceptual through check-authorization estimates and contribute to risk management processes.

You will leverage Aspen tools and industry cost bases, collaborate with diverse stakeholders, and travel as needed to Chemours facilities to enable in-person collaboration and

Qualifications

• 7+ years of estimating experience in petrochemical, heavy industrial or related industry.
• Experience in Aspen Capital Cost Estimator.
• Experience in Aspen In Plant Cost estimator.
• Ability to influence people at all levels within and outside Chemours.
• Based in Central (CT) or Eastern (ET) time zones and able to commute to Chemours facilities.

Responsibilities

• Provides business-specific conceptual estimates in support of early investment options.
• Prepares all estimate types based on project progression.
• Ensures estimates are appropriately developed and meet industry quality requirements for each step in the project gate process.
• Generate cost reduction concepts and improved work processes to improve project efficiency.
• Lead execution of early estimate plans and updates through project implementation.
• Maintains estimating system cost libraries and historical data.
• Assists Risk Competency Leads as required and contributes to the discussion on estimate impacts.
• Compile and distribute benchmark/metric data for capital and non-capital related activities to effectively gauge estimate performance/competitiveness and promote continuous improvement.
